The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) govern your access to and use of the Akison Garage Door Pros (https://garagedoorpros.com.au/) website and the variety of garage door services we offer (“Services“). The Akison Garage Door Pros website is owned and operated by Akison AU Pty Ltd (A.C.N 675 971 856).
By accessing our website or availing of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
What Services Do We Provide?
Akison Garage Door Pros offers access to a pool of professional installers and service providers for a diverse array of professional garage door services which include, but are not limited to, garage door spring repair, broken cable repair, garage door panel replacement, bent or broken track repair, motor installations, and garage door installations. The dedicated team of proficient professionals is committed to delivering superior customer service at all times.
Services
When a customer logs in their details or calls our number (0483 91 0794), we will assess the information provided and refer the customer to one of our garage door technicians. The referred local technicians are committed to delivering superior customer service at all times.
The garage door technicians who provide services through Akison Garage Door Pros are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Akison AU Pty Ltd. Each technician operates their own business and is solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other benefits. Akison AU Pty Ltd does not exercise control over the manner or means by which the technicians perform their services. The relationship between Akison AU Pty Ltd and the technicians is strictly that of a service referral and does not constitute an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture.
Payment Terms
Payment for the services provided by the technicians is due immediately upon the completion of the service. Multiple forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and contactless payments, are accepted.
In the event that payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of 1% of the invoice total amount may be applied per month, until the outstanding balance is settled.
Your continued use of Akison Garage Door Pros website and services constitutes your agreement to reimburse all costs and expenses incurred in the collection of overdue amounts, including but not limited to legal fees and court costs.
Please note that we may levy additional charges for services provided outside of regular business hours, during public holidays, or in emergency situations.
Appointment Cancellations
As part of the Services, we facilitate pre-booking, which provides comfort to the customer that the service has been referred to one of our technicians and booked, and certainty for scheduled work for the technician. Should you require cancelling or rescheduling your appointment, you must inform us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee being charged. The cancellation fee is $50.
Warranty and Liability
Standard Warranty Terms
As required by law, the services provided by our garage door technician are covered by the Australian Consumer Law. The Australian Consumer Law imports certain warranties into a consumer transaction that cannot be excluded. The Australian Consumer Law can be found in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

Akison Garage Door Pros will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, such as property damage or personal injury, resulting from the technicians’ services.

- Void Conditions: Warranty voids if the product is relocated.
Extended Warranty Terms
Extended warranties for garage door services must be negotiated and agreed upon before paying for the service. Extended warranty may be offered, covering either 12 or 24 months from the date of installation. However, such extended warranties involve additional costs and are granted at the provider’s discretion.
If an extended warranty is agreed upon, it may include:
- Duration: Standard Warranty (90 days), Extended Warranty (12 or 24 months)
- Scope: Covers any defects in materials or workmanship, including installation, for the new garage door product installed by Akison Garage Door Pros.
- Exclusions: Does not cover damages from improper maintenance, natural disasters, unauthorized modifications, or customer interference like attempting to change a motor.
Refund Policy
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:
- Service not performed: If a scheduled service is not completed due to an error on our part.
- Defective materials or workmanship: If materials supplied by the technician are defective, or if workmanship does not meet industry standards, we will first attempt to resolve the issue. If resolution is not possible, a refund may be considered.
- Overpayment or duplicate payment: If an error in payment processing occurs, the overpaid amount will be refunded.
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- Completed services where the customer has approved the work and no defects are reported within the warranty period.
- Issues arising from customer-supplied parts or materials.
- Cancelled appointments with less than 48 hours’ notice (see Refund and Cancellation Policy (in the down payment policy) below.
2. Down Payment Policy
At Akison Garage Door Pros, down payment or deposit for certain services may be required. This may happen in situations where specific parts must be ordered before work can be commenced. This ensures that the necessary materials can be secured in advance to complete your job efficiently.
Deposit Amount:
The required deposit will typically range between 20% and 50% of the total estimated cost of the service. The exact deposit amount will be clearly stated in your invoice or agreement before payment is made.
Balance Payment:
The remaining balance is due immediately upon the completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the customer.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
- Non-Refundable Deposits: If you cancel your appointment within 2 business days of the scheduled service, the deposit may be retained to cover costs already incurred, such as ordered parts or administrative fees.
- Refunds Outside the Cancellation Window: If you cancel your appointment more than 2 business days before the scheduled service, your deposit will be refunded, minus any genuine costs incurred (e.g., restocking fees for ordered parts).
- In cases where the service cannot proceed due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we will issue a full refund of your deposit.
Timing of Services:
Services will typically commence within 7 business days of receiving the deposit, depending on technician availability and scheduling. Any deviations from this timeframe will be agreed upon with the customer in writing.
Compliance with Australian Consumer Law:
This policy takes into consideration the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, within a reasonable timeframe, and as described.
