Our team headed to Belmont after a resident contacted us about a garage door repair that could not wait. The sectional door had come completely off its track. The panels had shifted out of alignment, and the whole system needed a full rebuild from the ground up.
An off-track door is not just an inconvenience. The panels carry real weight, and a door sitting outside its track can drop without warning. Left in this state, the door poses a serious risk to anyone nearby. It also leaves the property unsecured.
First, our team carefully relieved tension from the spring system before touching the panels. Then we removed each panel section to clear the track. Next, we inspected the tracks, rollers, and hinges for damage. We straightened the tracks back to their correct alignment. Then we refitted each panel in order, seating every roller properly into the track. Next, we reset the hardware at each hinge point and secured all the brackets. We then re-tensioned the spring system to match the weight of the door.
We ran the door through multiple open and close cycles to confirm smooth, even movement along the full track. We carried out a safety inspection to make sure everything was working properly.
If your sectional door starts to feel heavy on one side, makes a grinding or popping noise, or sits unevenly in the frame, these are early signs the door may be moving off its track. Book a check before the door shifts further and the repair becomes a bigger job.
